Preseason Prognostications
Winners of three of the last four SoCon regular-season titles, Elon was once again predicted to finish near the top of the league standings. In voting by SoCon media members, the Phoenix received two first-place votes and was picked to finish third in the 2012 standings. The league’s coaches tabbed Elon fourth.
