Men’s Basketball (12-10, 7-4)
Elon vs. Appalachian State, Monday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m., Alumni Gym (Fan Appreciation Night)
Elon at Chattanooga, Thursday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m., Chattanooga, Tenn.
Elon at Samford, Saturday, Feb. 11, at 5 p.m. (EST), Birmingham, Ala.
 
• Elon Athletics has designated Monday night as Fan Appreciation Night when Elon will thank its many fans for all of their support throughout the year. Elon student-athletes and administrators will be mingling in the crowd all evening, handing out many prizes.
• The Phoenix has won four of its last five games, coming off back-to-back home wins including a double overtime victory against College of Charleston last week.
• Elon is currently in first place in the Southern Conference North Division, holding a half game lead over UNCG in the final month of the regular season.
• Sophomore guard Jack Isenbarger is averaging over 23 ppg over the last six contests since moving into the starting lineup. He hit 11-of-16 field goals for a career-high 34 points in Elon’s win over The Citadel on Saturday.
 
Men’s Tennis (0-2)
Elon at Wake Forest, Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at 11 a.m., Winston-Salem, N.C.
Elon vs. Princeton, Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at 1 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
 
• The Phoenix got its first win of 2012 with a 7-0 shutout against Tennessee Tech at The Jimmy Powell Tennis Center this past weekend.
• Inclement weather forced the team to cancel its match against Gardner-Webb on Sunday — the match will be rescheduled for a later date.
• Elon last played Wake Forest in 2008 when the Phoenix suffered a 5-2 loss to the 29th-ranked Demon Deacons.
• The Phoenix also challenged Princeton in 2008, earning a 4-3 victory against the 71st-ranked Tigers.
 
Softball (0-0)
Elon vs. Liberty, Friday, Feb. 10, at 3:30 p.m., East Field (Elon Invitational)
Elon vs. N.C. Central, Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11:45 a.m., East Field (Elon Invitational)
Elon vs. Georgetown, Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m., East Field (Elon Invitational)
Elon vs. N.C. Central, Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2:30 p.m., East Field (Elon Invitational)
 
• The Elon softball team kicks off the 2012 season this Friday by hosting the Elon Invitational.
• The Phoenix returns 11 players from 2011’s team and welcomes 10 newcomers.
• Outfielder Tomeka Watson was named SoCon Preseason First-Team All-Conference last week, while pitcher #Erin O’Shea#, catcher Kaitlyn Piazzolla and outfielder Carleigh Nester were named to the second team.
 
Women’s Basketball (11-11, 7-6)
Elon at UNCG, Monday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m., Greensboro, N.C.
Elon vs. Davidson, Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m., Alumni Gym
 
• The Phoenix won its fourth consecutive home game on Saturday with a convincing 76-58 victory over Furman in its annual Play 4Kay event.
• For the first time since Feb. 19 last season, Elon had two players score 20+ points in a game against the Paladins, as Ali Ford finished with a game-high 26 points and Kelsey Evans ended the night with 20 points.
• Ford is now three points shy of passing Holly Andrews for fifth all-time in scoring in program history. Ford has scored 1,401 career points. In her last game at UNCG, Ford hit the game-winner as time expired to give Elon a 63-61 win.
 
Women’s Tennis (2-2)
Elon vs. Meredith, Saturday, Feb. 11 at 9:30 a.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
Elon vs. Gardner-Webb, Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
 
• The Phoenix competes at home for the first time in 2012 when it welcomes Meredith and Gardner-Webb to the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Saturday.
• The doubles team of Jordan Johnston and Frida Jansaker are off to a terrific start this season, as the duo sits at 4-0 with wins against North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
• Following Saturday’s matches, Elon hits the road on Monday, Feb. 13, for a 3 p.m. match at East Carolina.
 
Women’s Track and Field
Elon at Liberty Quad, Friday, Feb. 10, Lynchburg, Va.
 
• The Phoenix returns to Liberty University this Friday for the Liberty Quad, sight of its first indoor meet of the 2011-12 season.
Alyssa Girvin set a new school record of 48’8.25” in the weight throw at the Kent Taylor Invitational this past Saturday and claimed first place in the event.
Haylee Dawe took home the title in the 3,000-meter run after clocking a time of 10:18.05.
