RICHMOND, Va. – Junior Sydney Busa of the Elon University volleyball team was selected to the All Colonial Athletic Association Volleyball Teams as announced by the league office on Thursday evening, Nov. 17. Busa received a spot on the All-CAA third team while also representing the Phoenix on the league's All-Academic team.
 
Busa finished the 2016 campaign second on the squad in total kills with 305 while averaging 2.82 kills per set. The Leesburg, Va., native had 17 double-digit kill performances during the season and also tallied 11 double-doubles. Busa added 293 total digs to her stat line, averaging 2.71 digs per set which was third on the team.
 
A sport and event management major with a 3.95 cumulative GPA, Busa also earned a spot on the CAA All-Academic team for the second straight season.
