Hello Phoenix fans!
Madison Wilder here reporting from Montecatini.
Today we went to Pisa and toured the city. We learned about the Leaning Tower of Pisa and how that isn't its real name. It was very laid back day because it's also a game day, but it was still very fun and eventful.
While touring Pisa, we got to see all the beautiful architectural structures. It's hard to believe but the Leaning Tower, also know as the Bell Tower, isn't the most important building in the court yard. In the center there is a beautiful cathedral. This was the first church that we were able to go into as a team. It was very beautiful.
After our tour we had our daily free time. We were able to roam all around Pisa. Some went and found organic gelato, while others shopped and some laid in the grass under the shade that the huge buildings provided. This allowed our bodies to relax and get ready for our final game that we had this evening.
Tonight we played another team from Italy. We won the jump before they quickly made a steal and made a three in transition. After that we turned it around, gained the lead and held it throughout the game. The final score was 91-58. Another WIN for the women's basketball team!
Excited to see what tomorrow brings to the table. Ciao!
