Elon Places 31 on Spring Academic All-SoCon Team X [7/7/2010] The Southern Conference announced its Academic All-Southern Conference Team for the 2010 spring season on Wednesday. The team featured a total of 318 student-athletes, including 31 from Elon. Judy Ties for Second, Elon Places Fourth at SoCon Tournament X [4/20/2010] Jayson Judy shot a five-under 67 on the final day of the 2010 Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship to place in a tie for second individually and lead the Elon Phoenix program to a fourth-place showing with a score of 874 (295-289-290). Bartholomew, Judy Lead Elon at SoCon Championship X [4/18/2010] Elon's Phil Bartholomew fired a one-under par 71 to sit in a tie for sixth place individually after one round of the 2010 Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship from the Country Club of South Carolina on Sunday. Four of the five Phoenix golfers carded rounds in the 70s as Elon sits in a three-way tie for fifth place in the 11-team field with a 295. Phoenix Men Place Fifth at Wofford Invitational X [4/13/2010] The Elon Phoenix fired a team-best round of 288 during Tuesday's final round of the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational to finish in fifth place among the 13 participating teams. Judy Shoots a 69 on Final Day of Irish Creek Collegiate X [4/4/2010] Jayson Judy fired a team-best 69 over his final 18 holes of the Irish Creek Collegiate tournament and finished in a tie for 21st while the Elon Phoenix posted a three-round final tally of 899 (306-298-295) to place 12th in the 13-team field. Charlotte took home the team title with a score of 842 (287-278-280). Phoenix Struggles Thru Two Rounds at Irish Creek Collegiate X [4/3/2010] Elon rebounded from a first round score of 306 to post a 298 over its second 18 holes of the day, but it was not enough as the Phoenix found itself 13th in a 13-team field after one day of the Irish Creek Collegiate on Saturday. Elon carded a two-round total of 604. Charlotte leads the field with a 562 (284-278). Phoenix Finishes in Tie for 16th at Furman Intercollegiate X [3/21/2010] Stephen Dressel carded a final round of even-par 72, but the Elon Phoenix was unable to improve its standing at the Furman Intercollegiate on Sunday, finishing the 24-team tournament in a tie with UAB for 16th place. The Phoenix posted a 917 (308-303-306) over its three rounds of play. Clemson claimed the team title with a score of 865 (289-294-282). Dressel earned a tie for 20th with his performance. Elon Improves to Tie for 14th at Furman Intercollegiate X [3/20/2010] Chattanooga’s Steven Fox fired a four-under par 68 to grab sole possession of first place and help the Mocs into a three-stroke lead over Clemson after two rounds at the 41st Annual Furman Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,994-yard Furman University Golf Course on Saturday.
