Fournier Leads Elon to Second-Place Finish

The Elon women’s cross country team finished one point behind Southern Conference foe Furman for a second-place finish at the Elon Invitational on Saturday morning. Leading the charge for the Phoenix was junior Emily Fournier with a third-place finish and a time of 18:50. Furman’s Chloe Kowalski earned the individual championship with a time of 18:41. Caitlin Beeler earned a sixth-place finish with a time of 19:08.

Fournier Places Third, Leads Elon to Third-Place Finish

Emily Fournier placed third and Caitlin Beeler finished sixth to lead the Elon women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Asics Winthrop Invitational. South Carolina won the meet while Southern Conference foe Davidson finished three points ahead of the Phoenix. Fournier's time of 18:39.96 ranks ninth in the Elon record book. Beeler posted a time of 18:49.38. Allyson Costa was Elon's third finisher with a time of 19:03.22 to place 14th.

Fournier Paces Elon to 15th at Louisville Classic

Junior Emily Fournier led the Elon women’s cross country team to a 15th-place finish out of a strong field of 34 teams at the Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky. Fournier was the only top-50 performer for the Phoenix, posting a time of 18:31, the eighth-best mark in school history. She now owns five of Elon’s top-10 times in the 5K. Elon will travel to Boone, N.C., for the Blue Ridge Open on Friday, October 16.

Fournier Leads Elon to Sixth at Blue Ridge Open

The Elon women’s cross country team finished sixth out of a field of 15 teams at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, N.C. Duke took home the title, followed by Virginia Tech, UNC Wilmington, Appalachian State and VMI. Elon finished ahead of Southern Conference foes Western Carolina and College of Charleston. Elon will be back in action on October 31 when it hosts the Southern Conference Championship

Beeler Paces Elon to Record Finish in SoCon Championship

Senior Caitlin Beeler finished seventh with a time of 18:54.55 to earn first team all-conference honors and lead the Phoenix women’s cross country team to a program-best second-place finish at the Southern Conference Championship Saturday morning in Elon, N.C. The Phoenix finished one point behind Samford, which won its first SoCon Championship. Emily Fournier, Morgan Denecke and Sullivan Parkes each earned all-conference accolades.

Women's Cross Country Finishes 20th at Regionals

The Elon women's cross country squad placed 20th in a field of 35 teams at the NCAA Southeast Regional at E.P. "Tom Sawyer" State Park in Louisville. Elon finished ahead of Southern Conference foes Appalachian State, Furman, UNC Greensboro, Western Carolina and Wofford. Emily Fournier led the Phoenix with a 73rd place finish in a field of 237 runners. She posted a time of 22:22.38 on the 6K course. Teammate Caitlin Beeler finished just behind Fournier in the 78th spot with a time of 22:27.52.
