Although play was delayed for much of the day due to inclement weather, the Elon women’s tennis team was able to open its fall season on Friday afternoon, hosting Longwood, Campbell and UNC Wilmington at the Elon Fall Invitational. Elon sophomore Elisa Simonetti earned a straight set victory in singles and teamed with senior Anna Milian for a win in doubles action.

Elon sophomore Elisa Simonetti led the Phoenix women’s tennis team at the Elon Fall Invite, winning all three of her singles matches to earn the individual singles title with 21 total points.
