The Elon University strength and conditioning program exists to prepare Elon’s student-athletes for competition on the field, court, or track. This includes strength training with the focus on compound, multi-joint movements such as the squat, bench press and power clean. In addition, Elon University strength and conditioning utilizes various conditioning protocols, depending on the sport, that seek to increase running speed, improve running mechanics and ensure that student-athletes are prepared for the cardiovascular rigors of their sport.
Elon University strength and conditioning works with the following sports: baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, football, men’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s track and field, and women’s volleyball.
