2/1/2010The defending Southern Conference champion Elon baseball team was among programs receiving votes in the 2010 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association NCAA Division I preseason top-35 baseball poll. Elon was the lone Southern Conference program represented. Led by Rice at No. 5, four of Elon’s 2010 foes appear in the first 16 spots of the poll. Elon will begin its 2010 slate with a 4 p.m. game against Towson from Latham Park on Feb. 19.
