2/8/2010The Elon men’s basketball team staved off a furious Western Carolina comeback to knock off the Southern Conference North Division leader, 81-76, on Monday night at Alumni Gym. The Phoenix (6-17, 4-8) has won its last two contests and six straight home games against the Catamounts. Western Carolina (18-7, 8-5) dropped back-to-back contests for the first time this season. Elon had five players in double figures.
