As the 2013 Elon men's soccer season continues to approach, elonphoenix.com will begin to highlight members of the 2013 squad throughout the preseason with series of player profiles. The profiles will give fans, family and friends an inside look at the two-time defending Southern Conference tournament champions prior before the start of the regular-season on Aug. 30 vs. Northeastern in the Duke Classic in Durham, N.C.

Our next player in the player profile series is junior defender Austin Dunker. As a sophomore in 2012, Dunker was part of the backline that posted seven shutouts on the year, the third-highest single-season total in school history. A native of Greensboro, N.C., Dunker started all 22 matches last season, ranking third on the team in minutes with 1,985 and had five shot attempts.
