Anderson on Kensrue: Paige has displayed tremendous character in battling through a serious injury this past fall. She is a very determined and focused competitor who looks to have her best year yet this spring.
Fall 2009: Saw limited action due to injury, returning to compete in doubles at the ITA Regionals • team co-captain.
2008-09: Won her final four singles matches of the season, including two in the league tournament at No. 2 • earned impressive three-set victory over opponent from Radford • received second-team All-SoCon doubles honors after pairing with Anna Milian for a 7-3 conference mark • posted three fall doubles wins with Daleen Kloppers • teamed with Milain for a victory at the ITA Regionals • recorded two singles wins over players from Longwood and Campbell at the Elon Invitational • earned the team’s Coach’s Award • named Academic All-SoCon • ITA Scholar-Athlete.
2007-08: Went 14-8 overall and 7-2 in conference play in singles, while playing mostly at the No. 3 position • posted a doubles record of 9-12 overall and 4-5 in the conference • recognized as SoCon Player of the Week in March • received the team’s Heart and Hustle Award • had an impressive fall, going 7-4 in singles play and 4-4 in doubles • advanced to the finals of the A3 Flight at the NC State Invite • won the Flight B consolation at the Hokie Fall Invite • invited to the main draw of the ITA Southeast Tournament • ITA Scholar-Athlete.
2006-07: Earned 10 singles wins as the No. 3 and 4 position • partnered with Whitney Butcher for a doubles record of 8-12 • earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors • received the team’s Most Improved Award • placed second in her flight at the Davidson Fall Invite.
Prep: Won the clinching match to lead her USTA Zonals team to the 16’s championship in 2004 • ranked No. 112 on the national recruiting list and No. 39 on the Southeast recruiting list on tennisrecruiting.net • helped Freedom High School to advance to the state tournament every year throughout her career • won the state championship as a freshman • 2006 Freedom High Valedictorian.
